I engaged in a very interesting conversation last week about how women-designated spaces should be treated. A peer of mine noted that an upcoming women’s leadership workshop, a single workshop among an entire series of various leadership workshops, was also open for me...

As demands for equality for LGBTQ persons marches forward, increasingly the conversation isn't about sexual orientation, but sexual identity. Recently, the issue for those who identify as transgender (trans) has been in the news; from laws about public bathrooms to Pre...

As someone involved in a lot of activist work, I have learned how quickly people label themselves as allies. For every person I encounter who is consistently fighting for rights, equality, or empowerment in an intersectional way, I meet several “allies” who aren’t show...

This week I tried on every dress in Chico’s to find something appropriate for a wedding. Chico’s has gorgeous choices, but every outfit looked like a potato sack on me.  At some point, as I have aged my shape as shifted downward from womanly curves to a large lumpy mid...

Like many, every Sunday night I find myself glued to the television wondering what will happen next in Westeros (the fantasy land of the beloved series Game of Thrones). This last episode it was with pain that I watched more characters meet untimely ends. One potential...

Unapologetic Feminists

We are a feminist writing community. We agree with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "We should all be feminists." (2012).

A feminist is a man or woman who believes there should be  no gender  differences in our world.

We envision a future where women hold equal respect and power with men.  We believe significant  personal and societal change are necessary  for each person to reach his or her full potential.
